Safer Together incident reports
When you submit an incident report, I collect:
- Email address and phone number (for verification only — never published)
- Incident description, date, time, and location
- Whether you were a victim or witness
- Whether the incident was reported to police
Contact forms
If you reach out via a contact or volunteer form, I collect the information you provide (name, email, message).
Why I collect it
- Verification: email and phone are used solely to verify reports are genuine.
- Public safety: verified incident data (anonymized) is published as open data.
- Communication: contact details are used only to respond to you or, if you opt in, to connect victims with witnesses.
Legal basis (GDPR Art. 6)
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)): you choose to submit your data.
- Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)): community safety and public awareness.
Data retention
- Contact details (email, phone) are stored securely and retained to allow ongoing case review and to connect related incidents.
- Anonymized incident data is retained indefinitely as open data.
- You can request deletion of your personal data at any time (see Your rights below).
Your rights
Under GDPR, you can request to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. Email info@ideabile.com.
Third parties
- Hosted on self-managed infrastructure (no cloud providers).
- Map tiles from OpenStreetMap.
- No analytics. No cookies. No tracking.
